What Is profile verification and why is it important?
Unfortunately, on dating sites, it's not always possible to know for sure who is on the other side of the screen. Our goal is to make the online dating experience as close as possible to real-life dating, which is why we’ve developed a system for verifying (confirming the authenticity of) profiles.
To verify your profile, please complete several steps:
1. Selfie Verification
This option is available in the desktop / mobile version of the site (via browser) and in the mobile app on iOS. To upload a selfie, you’ll need to grant access to your device’s camera. The selfie will not be displayed on your profile, and other users won’t be able to see it. It is used exclusively for verification purposes.
2. Adding a Photo
Upload a personal photo to your profile. After it is verified by a moderator, the photo will appear on the site.
3. Email Address Verification
A verification email will be sent to the email address you provided during registration (you can find it in the “My Settings” section on the browser version or in “Settings” on the mobile app). If you don’t see it in your inbox, check your spam folder. Click the link in the email to complete the verification process.
4. Verification via Social Network Profile
Select a social network where you're registered (you can link multiple social networks at once). We will not publish any information on your social networks, nor will we display links to your social network profiles. Only the fact of verification will be shown on your profile.
5. Mobile Phone Number Verification
After entering your phone number, you will receive a free SMS message with a verification code.
Verified profiles are marked with a special icon, making them more trustworthy. Verified users will be able to connect with others more quickly.
Additionally, in the full version of the site, you can search specifically for verified profiles.
We encourage you to verify your profile. It’s free and only takes a couple of minutes. You can do this on your profile’s edit page, under the "Profile Verification" section. None of your personal information will be visible to other users—only the fact that your profile is verified.
